Through their combined talents, and a brotherhood of a lifetime of performing, singer/songwriters Marty Atkinson, George Kincheloe, and Scott Beynon create a genre of music sometimes hard to define in a simple phrase. Traveling through the vast landscape of their original music, in a single moment, Folk turns to Rock, with an occasional twist of Country, and then delivers true Americana.
George Kincheloe - In 1973, George left Boston and brought his singing/songwriting skills to L.A. While there he worked in studio and on stage with such talents as Loggins and Messina, Gene Clark (Byrds), Al Kooper, Andy Kuhlberg (Blues Project, Seatrain) and Al Stewart.
George has been leader & lead vocalist for two popular Northern California bands, Boardinghouse Reach and Hooligan (Nu Motion Records) and has appeared in concert with Dave Mason, The Doobie Brothers, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Elvin Bishop, Norton Buffalo, and Marty Balin.
Marty Atkinson - Born in Southern Ontario Canada Marty got started in his fathers country band. Did his first paying gig at age twelve. Played in local bands and became the bass man on a little live radio show every Saturday afternoon. He left for California to find more musicians like himself. It was then that he met George, and together they played mostly original music throughout California.
He eventually scored a Major record deal with Atlantic Nashville, a second deal with Curb/MCA and a songwriting deal with EMI. Now he has 4 CDs of this very music -- CACTUS CHOIR,BIG PLANS,TWO ROOM SHACK and WESTERNS.
Scott Beynon - Scott has been performing since the early 1970's. As a member of the bands Stranger, and The Roosters, he began his professional music career at The Keystone Berkeley, and many other popular venues. The bands opened for the likes of The Ventures, Wilson Pickett, and Greg Khin.
By the end of the decade, Scott transitioned from playing pure rock in those intimate venues, to larger stages, such as a 4th of July show at Crissy Field, (which drew some 20 thousand people) with the Irish trio, The Core. more...
